Who we are

Loveable Brogue Photography ("we", "us", "our") is a UK-based photography studio. For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, we are the data controller of personal information collected through this website.

What data we collect

• Enquiry data: name, email, phone (optional), and the message you send via our contact, order or retainer enquiry forms.
• Booking data: shoot address, event date, services selected, and any notes you provide.
• Testimonial data: if you submit a testimonial, your name, location and role (only published if approved).
• Technical data: basic server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) for security and analytics.

Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and arrange shoots (lawful basis: legitimate interest / pre-contract).
• To deliver photography services and send invoices (lawful basis: contract).
• To improve the site and prevent abuse (lawful basis: legitimate interest).

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with trusted service providers we use to run the business — for example, our hosting and database provider, email service, and payment processor. They process data on our instructions and under appropriate contracts.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months. Booking and invoice records are kept for 7 years to meet HMRC requirements. Testimonials remain until you ask us to remove them.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete it.
• Object to or restrict processing.
• Withdraw consent at any time.
• Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

We use a minimal set of cookies necessary for the site to function (e.g. keeping you signed in to the admin area). We do not use advertising cookies.

Image rights

Photographs taken by us remain our copyright. Usage rights are granted to clients as set out in your booking agreement. We may use shoot images in our portfolio, marketing and on social media unless you opt out in writing before the shoot.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when it last changed. For material changes we will let active clients know by email.
